What he does not know is that he has a brain tumour. His mother has not told him because she cannot afford the surgery it requires.

Barrakat Mustafa is a spiritual healer. Some of his patients are adolescent girls, who come to him when they are not able to conceive due to the bad spirits in their wombs ’’. Using magic spells and love charms, he does his best to help girls become pregnant quickly and to support couples with marriage problems. People give him furniture and other gifts out of gratitude for his support.

Zaid is a 14 year old Jordanian. He and his friends hang out downtown on the weekends, enjoying Amman s energy and smoking. His parents know that he smokes and are glad that he has chosen e-cigarettes rather than tobacco.

Khadejah is a 14 year old Syrian refugee whose arm was badly burned when the war first started and her family house burned down. Fortunately her family immediately made it to Jordan, where she was able to access specialised medical treatment for severe burns. While she still has pain, she can now use her arm again. Khadejah and her family are grateful for the help they have received in Jordan.
