परिवेश : गाजा र वेस्ट बैंकका किशोरकिशोरीहरू पुस्तौंदेखि द्वन्द्व र इजरायली अधिनायकवाद झेलेका परिवारबाट आउने गर्छन्। यसका अतिरिक्त गाजामा विकासलाई नियतपूर्वक ठप्प पारिएको छ। यस्तो प्रचलन निरन्तर चल्यो भने सन् २०२० देखि गाजा बस्नका लागि अयोग्य हुन्छ भनेर सयुक्त राष्ट्र सङ्घले चेतावनी दिसकेको अवस्था छ । यस बाहेक वेस्ट बैंकमा रहेको जनसंख्याले आफ्नो समुदायभित्र आवागमनमा इजरायली- वेस्ट बैंकको अवरोधहरू दैनिक रूपमा सामना गर्नुपर्छ। क्षेत्रियताका आधारमा हेर्दा किशोरकिशोरीहरुमा आधारभूत सेवा सुविधाहरुको पहुँच तुलानातमत्क रुपले उच्च भए पनि किशोरकिशोरीहरुको मनोसमाजिक तनाव र अवसरहरूमा पार्ने असर निकै चुनौतीपूर्ण कुरो हो।

शिक्षा र सिकाई : गाजा र वेस्ट बैंकका किशोरीहरु किशोरहरुभन्दा बढी संख्यामा माध्यामिक विद्यालयमा उपस्थित हुने सम्भावना छ। ६७% भन्दा पनि कम किशोरहरुको विद्यालय भर्नाको तुलनामा गाजामा १६-१८ वर्ष उमेर समुहका झण्डै ८०% किशोरीहरु विद्यालय भर्ना भएका थिए। विश्वको उच्च बेरोजगारी दर सामना गरिरहेको गाजामा घरपरिवारको आयमा सहयोग गर्न किशोरहरूलाई अनौपचारिक क्षेत्रमा काम गर्नुपर्ने हुन्छ।

शारीरिक निष्ठा: वेस्ट बैंकमा बसोबास गर्ने किशोरीहरुभन्दा गाजामा बसोबास गर्ने किशोरीहरुको बढी बाल विवाह हुने सम्भावना दुईगुणाले बढी हुन्छ । १५-१९ वर्ष उमेरका झन्डै ३% किशोरीहरु विवाहित छन्। यसभन्दा बाहेक गाजामा बस्ने झन्डै एक चौथाई किशोरीहरु र महिलाहरुले आफूले यौन दुर्व्यवहार सहनुपरेको बाताएका छन्। त्यसैगरि आधाभन्दा बढी विवाहित महिलाहरुले आफूले श्रीमानहरुको हातबाट हिंसा भोगेको कुरा बताएका छन्।

यौन तथा प्रजनन् स्वास्थ्य : एक चौथाईभन्दा बढी २०-२४ वर्षका महिलाहरूको १८ वर्षभन्दा अगावै पहिलो बच्चा भएको थियो। यसका अतिरिक्त यौन उर्वरता कायम गर्ने इच्छा उच्च हुनाले परिवार नियोजनका साधनहरुको प्रयोग न्यून छ।                         

पोषण: गाजा र पश्चिमा मुलुकमा जस्तै क्यालोरीको मात्रा बढी भएको खाना खाने प्रवृत्ति बढेको र जीवनशैली सहरी तथा अचलयमान हुँदै गएकोले हुर्कदै गरेका किशोरकिशोरीमा मोटोपन बढ्दो चुनौती बनेको छ। शारीरिक क्रियाकलाप र गतिशीलताको सीमितताले गर्दा किशोरीहरु विशेषगरी मर्कामा छन्। किशोरहरुमा धुम्रपानको दर बढी छ।

मनोसामाजिक स्वास्थ्य: निरन्तर रुपमा चलिरहेको इजरायली अधिनायकवादले गाजाको अर्थतन्त्रलाई तहसनहस पार्नुको साथै र वेस्ट बैंकलाई पर्खाल र बस्तिहरुले चिरिदिएको छ।यसले युवाहरुमा उच्च तहको निराशा (डिप्रेसन) र चिन्ता छाएको छ। उनीहरु हिंसाद्वारा घेरिएका छन् र त्यस्तो वातावारणले उनीहरुको भविष्यलाई कसरी सीमित बनाइरहेको छ भन्ने कुरामा सचेत छन्। गाजाका आधाजति किशोरकिशोरीहरुले गाजामा युद्ध पछाडिको मानसिक आघातका लक्षणहरू (पोस्ट ट्रमाटिक स्ट्रेस सिम्टमस्) सहेका छन् भने वेस्ट बैंकका ८०% किशोरकिशोरीहरुले कम्तीमा पनि एउटा गोलीकाण्ड देखेका छन्।

आवाज र निकाय: गाजा र वेस्ट बैंकका किशोरकिशोरीहरुलाई सामुदायिक कार्यहरुमा सहभागी हुने अवसर छ। जोर्डन र लेबनानमा उनीहरुकै उमेर समूहका किशोरकिशोरीहरुलाई यी अवसरहरु छैनन्। तर इजरायली अधिनायकवादले गर्दा अर्थपूर्ण राजनीतिक सहभागिता भने रोक लागेको छ।

आर्थिक सशक्तिकरण: वेस्ट ब्याङ्क र गाजामा धेरै संख्यामा किशोरी र महिलाहरु श्रमको क्षेत्रमा छैनन न् किनभने किशोरीहरु विद्यालय जान्छन् र उनीहरूलाई घरयासी कामहरु पनि धेरै गर्नु पर्ने हुन्छ। उनीहरु पनि पैसा आउने रोजगारीको अवसर खोज्छन् तर झन्डै ८० % ले जागिर पाउन सकेका छैनन्।
